IBI Group welcomes finalists from first ever design competition
February 29, 2016, TORONTO – For the next two days, the top three teams from IBI Group’s Healthcare Challenge are onsite at Toronto Campus for a series of workshops and discussions on the future of global health.
The Healthcare Challenge is the first ever design competition for the globally integrated architecture, planning, engineering and technology firm. The competition called on teams from across the globe to come up with solutions that speak to emerging healthcare needs in addition to today’s pressing issues.
Each of the three top teams brought a unique and compelling concept to the competition, with the Evaluation Committee naming the IBI Health Navigator concept as the overall winner.
The IBI Health Navigator is a quick path to health. The solution enables patients to seamlessly navigate the Healthcare system to improve their patient experience – from scheduling appointments and electronically managing their health profile to sharing these important details with family and Healthcare Providers.
Over the course of the next two days, the top teams will be working together in an incubator-like setting in Toronto to collaborate, idea share and assess the best pathway to market for the concept.
According to IBI Group CEO, Scott Stewart, “Defining the cities of tomorrow means addressing the challenges of our time. And one of the most significant global challenges facing society, is healthcare.”
“With ever increasing needs and limited resources, we need new ideas and new solutions. This competition is a reflection of IBI’s commitment to creating solutions for today, and ideas for tomorrow.”
